North Ionian Greek Flotilla – September 2013

Following on from last years successful trip to Skiathos Nicky and Howard from Nautilus Yachting have kindly organised for another event this year in Greece’s beautiful North Ionian including Paxos and Anti-Paxos. Three boats are already confirmed for the flotilla departing on Sunday September 29th for Preveza airport and arriving back in the UK on Sunday 6th of August.

The potential itinary is as follows:
“We stop on the way at Anti-paxos where the waters of Emerald Bay truly live up to their name and you can enjoy excellent swimming. Gaios (30nm) on the southern tip of Paxos, is a popular harbour that spreads along the waterfront, with a great choice of bars and restaurants. The setting is spectacular with a large wooded island which protects the anchorage.

We can return the next day to the beautiful anchorages of Anti-paxos for lunch. In the afternoon we sail north past the dramatic cliffs on the east coast of Paxos to Lakka (8nm), a popular anchorage in an almost landlocked bay, surrounded by pine and olive groves. The tavernas and bars along the quayside provide a lively evening.

The following day we sail to Parga (18nm). This attractive harbour on the mainland is dominated by the ‘Kasteli’ fortress. This historic and picturesque town is now a well established resort with plenty of tavernas and bars.”
